Euchre is a 45-pound, 1.5-year-old Mountain Cur mix who loves one-on-one attention and playing chase with other dogs. She is potty trained, crated trained, and knows basic commands like sit, lie down, and she’s working on roll over. She’s super smart and knows the difference between “go get your ball,” go get your cheese,” and “go get your toy.”

Euchre is a great dog when properly exercised. She does require a great amount of it, however. Euchre has done well playing with friends at daycare. She prefers running free over walking on a leash. She loves herding other dogs and might do well in a home with other dogs who like to play chase. She should also be in a home without small children, as she does try to play too rambunctiously with them. In warm weather, Euchre loves being outside in the yard for hours, though our yard is a bit small for her.

Euchre is a deeply loved dog who has been a part of our family since we brought her home from HVHS as a puppy. With two young kids, we’ve struggled to find the time she requires for daily exercise, and now that she’s fully grown, she inadvertently overpowers our kids when playing with them. We are heartbroken to admit we’re not able to meet her needs, and we are hoping to help her find a forever home where she can run free, play chase, and thrive.
